Experience in one to one coaching

I have been working for some years now in the field of coaching and leadership development, mostly one to one, but also including group and team coaching. I have worked with people from different levels, from CEO and board level to all other levels in the workplace, in many fields including manufacturing, education, finance, government and healthcare, helping them to find solutions within themselves in times of challenge, transition, personal difficulty, career progression, skills development, people management and returning to work after absence. In the past few years, I have worked with leaders in the education sector, specifically principals, as they seek to address the challenges they face and build standards in education. These coaching engagements have encompassed such variety and breadth to help me develop my coaching skills to a high level.
My background is in psychological coaching and team coaching. I would describe my coaching style as pragmatic, thoughtful and insightful, but also down to earth and humorous. It is very much about the person being coached, and helping them, within their network of relationships and work and social systems, to effect the change they want to bring about, At the same time, I always recognise that the impetus comes from the person being coached and that I am there to stand alongside them in their own process.
Coaching is a discipline that I made a choice to follow, after many years working in business, and as a result, it is somewhere where I feel very much at home and I have a passion to see the best outcomes for the people I coach.
